The first-floor rooms are designated for families, providing a familiar setup like having direct TV at home. The atmosphere was like haiku, with inessentials pared away.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, super friendly staff, and a great location close to Santa Monica and the city center. However, the slightly limited dining options were a minor downside.
